9/8, 9/9 & 9/10 Company choreography after school. Exact schedule will be emailed after commitment letters are received following June auditions.
9/10 Performance Team costume payment due in full.
9/11 Nutcracker Auditions — 5:00–7:00 PM at the studio. We need 85+ performers to produce the show. We will email everyone on 9/14 to confirm whether the show will run. Pre-Professional Company and apprentices are required to participate.
9/14 Fall classes begin.
9/15 Nutcracker payment due if the Nutcracker runs. Participating Company members have this payment included in their payment plan.
9/18 Friday Nutcracker rehearsal.

1/8 TENTATIVE — Company Pictures with Megan Edmonds Photography, 3:45–6:00 PM; Company Showcase Rehearsal, 6:00–7:45 PM.
1/15 Company & Performance Team Rehearsal and Showcase at South Portland High School. SHOWCASE: 6:30–8:00 PM.
Company solos/duos arrive 3:55 PM with hair in a low, straightened ponytail and makeup done; rehearse 4:10–4:55 PM. All other Company members arrive 4:30 PM. Full-team warm-up 4:55–5:05 PM, followed by Company group-dance rehearsal. No costumes for Company rehearsal; dancers change into first costume immediately afterward. Performance Team arrives 5:15 PM with hair/makeup done and IN COSTUME; rehearsal 5:45–5:55 PM. Due to theater availability and competition schedule, both rehearsal and Showcase are Friday, 1/15.
1/18 Martin Luther King Jr. Day — CLOSED. No classes.
1/22–1/24 Excel in Motion Competition/Convention — Danvers, MA. Required for Pre-Professional Company; optional for Company.
1/29–1/30 Kaleidoscope Competition — South Portland High School • ALL Company dances.

3/12–3/14 Elite Dance Challenge — Nashua, NH • Pre-Professional Company and extra routines that would like to attend.
3/30 Enclave Nursing Home Performance — 4:00–4:30 PM. Dancers arrive at 3:50 PM in costume with hair in a low ponytail.
Routines: Wednesday Performance Team ages 5–8 with Miranda; Thursday Performance Team ages 9–12 with Casey; Petite & Mini Lyrical; Int. B Lyrical & Jazz; Int. A Jazz & Contemporary; Pre-Professional Jazz & Contemporary.
APRIL 2027

4/2 Required Recital Digital Download Fee due — $35. Each recital family is charged only one fee.
4/3 Recital tickets go on sale online with Dance Recital Ticketing at 10:00 AM.

5/14 Dress Rehearsals at South Portland High School. Arrive in costume with hair and makeup done. Toddle Inn classes do NOT have Dress Rehearsal. Pre-Professional Company does NOT wear costumes for Dress Rehearsal.

5/15 Recitals at South Portland High School.
After recital, we will have an extra month of dance: “The Love of Dance” Month! We will celebrate our performances, welcome guest teachers for older classes, work on technique and style, learn combinations, create choreography, and remember why we love dance!
JUNE 2027

6/12 Last day of classes.
6/14 & 6/15 Workshops with guest teachers and SDC staff.
6/21–6/24 Dance Camp for ages 10+ — REQUIRED for Company dancers doing solos/duets/trios/extra dances and for Pre-Professional dancers.
6/28–7/1 Dance Camp for dancers ages 10+.
Dance camps during the last two weeks of June for kids ages 3–11.
Company solo/duet/trio and extra-dance choreography will take place this month.
JULY 2027
7/8 4-week Wednesday sessions begin.
7/12 Workshops with guest teachers and SDC staff.
Company solo/duet/trio and extra-dance choreography will take place this month.
7/26–7/29 Dance Camps: ages 3–6, ages 6–11, and ages 10+.

8/2–8/5 Dance Camps for ages 10+ • Intermediate–Advanced.
8/2–8/5 Dance Camps for ages 3–11.
8/9–8/12 REQUIRED COMPANY CAMP — Company members ages 7+.
Doors open at 8:30 AM. Mini Company ages 7–9: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Company ages 9+: 9:00 AM–3:15 PM. Older Company members may have later hours Wednesday and Thursday.
8/12 Company Team BBQ at the studio — 5:30–7:00 PM • Company members and families invited!
8/13 Pre-Professional Company Choreography — 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.
8/16 & 8/17 Ballet/Contemporary/Jazz Intensive — 9:00 AM–2:00 PM daily • Ages 11+ • Guest teachers.
